About us

MOSSBROOK AIMS TO:

  • embrace the 5 outcomes of “Every Child Matters” (being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and economic well being).

  • create an ethos in school which values individuals, fosters a sense of personal worth and encourages a development of self-confidence in all.

  • enable all members of the school community to realise their potential, promoting life-long learning for children and adults alike.

  • equip our children with skills which will enable them to function as independently as possible, both in and out of school, now and in the future.

  • offer a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum including the National Curriculum, to meet individual needs.

  • provide an atmosphere which celebrates success but in which it is safe to make mistakes.

  • promote pupils’ motivation through their interests and through rewards and displays.

  • help children to develop spiritually, emotionally and creatively and give them opportunities for reflection.

  • pursue inclusion in its broadest sense for our pupils to meet their educational and social needs.

  • build an effective partnership with parents, pupils, staff and other schools and the wider community.

  • remove barriers to learning.

  • actively seek out and explore new initiatives and ideas to keep us at the forefront of the changing face of education.
